Ohio Polygamy Ring’s Shocking Kidnapping and Torture Plot

A shocking case has unfolded in Ohio, involving a polygamist woman, her husband, and four other men who allegedly orchestrated the kidnapping and torture of a 26-year-old man. The alleged crime, a week-long ordeal of brutal violence, was reportedly fueled by a revenge plot masterminded by the woman at the center of the bizarre relationship.

Martina Jones, 28, is accused of ordering her husband, Michael Esqueda, 28, and four other boyfriends – Aaron Bradshaw, 49; Austin Bradshaw, 28; David Cessna, 26; and Chance Johnston, 27 – to abduct and torture the victim. The group, who reportedly share multiple children, allegedly held the victim captive in a Maumee, Ohio Red Roof Inn hotel room.

The victim endured a horrific week, suffering severe beatings with a metal baseball bat, forced periods of standing, and minimal food and water. He was reportedly only allowed to eat and drink once a day and slept a total of only 10 hours during his captivity. Police described the ordeal as “essentially torture.” The victim sustained multiple fractured bones as a result of the assault.

The alleged motive for this brutal act stems from a dog fight at Jones’ home. While Jones claimed the victim injured her arm during the ensuing chaos, police believe this was a fabrication used to justify the ensuing revenge. The victim was eventually rescued on March 21st when his captors allowed him to go to a convenience store, where he contacted his mother who then alerted the authorities.

All six individuals were arrested on March 22nd and charged with kidnapping, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. Each suspect is currently being held on a $200,000 bond. This case highlights the disturbing extremes of revenge and the complex dynamics of non-traditional relationships. The details of the alleged crime are truly shocking and underscore the urgent need for justice for the victim.
