Brittany Dodson, a contestant from season 8 of Netflix’s *Love Is Blind*, is finally sharing her side of the story regarding her engagement to Mo Ndiaye and their subsequent breakup. The 35-year-old reality star recently appeared on the “Jess A Couple Things” podcast, revealing details that never made it to the show’s final cut.
She explained her initial indecision in the pods, initially choosing Mo before reconsidering her options and exploring a connection with Adam Bevis. However, after giving Adam a chance, Brittany realized her stronger feelings for Mo, particularly drawn to his expressed values surrounding family and his shared cultural background with her.
Brittany detailed the moment they met in person after their pod engagement, revealing that she noticed a discrepancy between Mo’s self-described height and his actual height. Despite this, she remained open to the relationship and accepted his proposal.
Their journey took an unexpected turn when the show’s producers discussed the cast trip to Honduras. Only five couples would be selected, and Brittany voluntarily chose to forgo the trip, prioritizing getting to know Mo better without the pressures of the show’s environment. She believed that a more authentic connection could be fostered in their own time and space.
This decision, however, was not reflected in the final edit of the season. Brittany and Mo continued their relationship independently of the show’s production. But days later, Mo ended things with Brittany, revealing that he had never dated Black women before and felt unable to progress the relationship.
Brittany expressed the hurt of this revelation, emphasizing the impact it had on her understanding of their relationship. Mo has yet to publicly comment on the situation. *Love Is Blind* is currently streaming on Netflix.
