
A landscaper lost his life earlier this week after a tragic accident involving a commercial lawn mower in Flower Mound, Texas. The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. on Monday, June 10th, prompting a swift response from Flower Mound Fire Department and police officers. Emergency responders arrived at a pond near Flower Mound Road and Clearpoint Drive to find the landscaper trapped beneath the submerged mower.
According to reports from the Flower Mound Fire Department, relayed by Telemundo, the landscaper was mowing in the area when, for reasons still under investigation, he ended up in the water. A 911 caller recounted attempting to free the victim from under the heavy machinery, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
It took four firefighters to lift the lawn mower and free the trapped landscaper from the several-feet-deep water. Once rescued, emergency medical personnel performed CPR and advanced life support measures, successfully restoring the landscaper’s pulse and blood pressure. He was transported to a local hospital.
Despite initial signs of recovery, the landscaper was transferred to another facility Monday night for further treatment. Sadly, the Flower Mound Fire Department reported that he succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity to the public.
