Nintendo’s July 2025 Direct: A Third-Party Frenzy!

Just over a month after the Switch 2 launch, Nintendo treated us to a jam-packed 25-minute Partner Showcase Direct. This focused entirely on third-party titles, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what exciting announcements were in store.

Many had their eyes on *Hades 2*. Following a recent major update, speculation was rife that a formal release date would finally be revealed, and the Direct didn’t disappoint. FromSoftware fans also held their breath, hoping for more news on the highly anticipated multiplayer title, *Duskbloods*. And of course, the ever-patient *Hollow Knight* community collectively crossed their fingers, dreaming that *Silksong* would finally emerge from the shadows.

The Switch 2’s impressive graphical upgrades and enhanced processing power were also a major talking point. Could we see surprise appearances from titles previously thought unlikely on Nintendo platforms? The possibility of a major franchise like *Call of Duty* making its way to the Switch 2 family was definitely on many minds.

The showcase did not disappoint!
