This has led Yuga Labs, the company behind the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club and owner of CryptoPunks since 2022, to make a surprising move: selling the iconic collection to the Infinite Node Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to preserving digital art.

The NFTs, once fetching millions of dollars apiece, have seen their market value stagnate in recent years, a trend mirroring the broader cooling of the NFT market. Yuga Labs’ decision is framed as a strategic move to ensure the long-term legacy of CryptoPunks.
