A Ukrainian drone strike on a boarding school in Russia’s Rostov region has resulted in the evacuation of over 70 children with special needs. The incident, which occurred overnight, caused significant damage to the school building. According to acting Governor Yury Slyusar, the drone struck near the rear entrance, shattering windows and injuring two adult staff members who required hospitalization.
The swift evacuation of the 73 children and other employees prevented further injuries. Slyusar highlighted the deployment of electronic warfare measures by Russian forces to counter Ukrainian kamikaze drones in the area. The Russian Defense Ministry reported intercepting a significant number of Ukrainian drones during the night, primarily over the Bryansk border region.
